  • Urban Theater 2620 West Division Street Chicago, IL, 60622 United States (map)

Join us Wednesday July 13th for a Sip & Paint with Shervin Olvid at Urban Theater as we fundraise for our second year of "De Paseo con La Escuelita Bombera de Corazón"!

"De Paseo" was launched in 2021 as a two week long series of of live streamed workshops led by Director and Founder Ivelisse Diaz along with  local mayores, maestros, and artisans of bomba from Guayama, Mayagüez, Santurce, and Loíza, culminating with a live concert performance from Puerto Rico’s leading talents. This August we are returning in person along with sixteen students of La Escuelita who will be traveling to the island for eight days of intensive workshops. Each workshop will be livestreamed to ensure that all of our community has access to the knowledge and space.
